Meet Sky Creed, our new high school youth minister

Holy Family Cathedral announces the hiring of two new youth ministers: Sky Creed and Alexus Nguyen. Sky and Alexus are ready to minister to all our young parishioners.

Sky, our high school Youth Minister, is looking forward to serving teens “from a variety of backgrounds coming together to grow deeper in faith and knowledge.” She wants to help them “take ownership of their role as disciples of Christ and professors of the Faith.”

Sky brings five years of experience in youth ministry

Sky Creed is a 2019 graduate of Benedictine College with a BA in English and Evangelization & Catechesis with an emphasis on Youth Ministry.

For the last two years she has been the National Director of Totus Tuus working out of the Diocese of Wichita. Before that she was Coordinator of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Tulsa. She started her career as Director of Youth Formation at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, TX.

Sky says, “I have worked in youth ministry professionally for the past five years, working particularly on providing moments of encounter with the person of Jesus Christ that draw young people into a deeper relationship with our Savior, whether it be through ministry nights, retreats, or serving their neighbor. I love giving opportunities to foster community for the youth between their peers, their parents and families, the parish community at large, and the universal church.”

Sky begins work on October 1.
