ICONS: Windows into Heaven
The Cuesta Foundation
The icon collection is on long-term loan to the Cathedral by Cuesta Foundation. The foundation is owned and managed by the Oliphant family who are parishioners of Holy Family Cathedral. The icon collection was curated by the late Nancy W. Oliphant who was both an icon artist and collector. The exhibit features both her original works and icons collected for artistic style or devotional significance. Nancy was a devout Catholic who studied under the apprenticeship of Master Iconographer Br. Robert Lentz O.F.M. Her style is deeply grounded in both spirituality and theology with aesthetics from both east and western iconography.

You have done a marvelous work in making these holy icons available to inspire those who will visit.
I was blessed to know and love Nancy and even be present as Nancy was writing and praying the holy face of God icon.
I’m sure Nancy is rejoicing.
Praise be Jesus Christ!
